We had a great time yesterday marching on Labor Day with unions and activists around the state. We know that the most powerful force against the 1 percent and the corporate oligarchs is a united, active, intersectional movement for justice. We are so proud to count the MTA as part of that movement.
Time and again, as we march alongside our sisters and brothers fighting injustice, we’re rewarded with cheers for teachers and cheers for our schools. It’s heartening to hear, and it speaks to the sacred space public education occupies in our democracy. We hope to keep the MTA marching forward in solidarity with all other working people in Massachusetts.
